Utah's State Weed Committee — an eight-member advisory body that helps plan and oversee the state's noxious weed control program — was set to expire on July 1, 2026, and this bill would extend that deadline by ten years to July 1, 2036. The bill also makes minor technical updates to the law, including cross-referencing the sections that create the Department of Agriculture and Food and the Department of Natural Resources, and clarifying the wording around how committee members recommend nominees and how per diem and travel expense rules apply.
